FRAGILE PARADISE explores the relationships between landscape, memory and material, informed by contemporary concerns about humanity’s interactions with nature. Layered imagery occupies a space between recognition and abstraction, working with papers from diverse cultural traditions. Through texture, tone and process, I explore how materials interact to create visual harmonies, distilling the landscape through their qualities and relationships. The exhibition invites a slower,
closer kind of looking, attending to the materials themselves and the subtle relationships that emerge through the process of making.
