‍‍All the light we cannot see, for the 2026 Sydney Contemporary Works on Paper exhibition. Presented by Swan River Print Studio, this years selection brings together four West Australian artists — Claire Lawson, Dominique Coiffait, Jo Darvall, and Zali Morgan — whose practices are deeply connected to place, material enquiry, and the distinctive luminosity of Western Australia.

Yellow Circle 2006 monotype on Arches BFK

Working from Goolugatup, a site of cultural significance for Noongar people, each artist draws on forms of slow, attentive making that foreground the relationships between land, light, memory, and lived experience. Their works — spanning collagraph, monotype, etching, and multi-block lino processes — respond to the sharp, shifting, and often bleaching qualities of WA light, translating it into subtle tonalities and tactile surfaces.
